A digital representation of an object or concept converts something that exists in real life to something digital. As we touched on previously with sound, a good example of this is someone playing music at a restaurant. If someone else were to record this, it would capture these sound waves and convert them into digital media, often through an MP3 or MP4 file if video is utilized. Digital representations are frequently used. Another example is when we watched the Artemis ship take off. That was a live event happening in Florida, although we consumed it in a digital format over a livestreaming service on YouTube. Our lives would not be the same without digital “objects”.
